One of the things that makes me keep my composure despite constant exposure to irritating types of people is my punch bag. For a couple of 1 1/2 hours sessions per week, I circle the bag (as if stalking a dangerous enemy) jab into it and release a flurry of kicks and punches. At the end of each session, I never fail to get that feeling of having shed every impurity jammed in my body.
Here are a few things to be considered before buying a punch bag. The hanging type requires a sturdy point for support while free standing punch bags does not and may be used in almost any part of the house. It can also be stored as easily. With a free standing punch bag, visitors will have no idea that your condominium’s living room is regularly converted to a home gym.
For martial arts purposes, the free standing types allow sweeps and low kick training. For the ultimate reality experience, there is also the “human mannequin” free standing bag that allows the trainee to practice most offensive and defensive techniques.
