Most of us have lived with cable television all our lives and perhaps, until now, still has been no reason to think that there’s anything in the present market that can possibly be better. Cable TV provides us with the local channels plus a lot of other specialized feeds like as HBO, AXN, Fox, Fox Crime, Cinemax and Starworld. And of course, there’s the Pay Per View.
However, there is such thing as Direct TV that offers all of the services enumerated above and a lot more. For instance, the clarity of cable television that we are all used to also comes with graininess, grayness, faded colors, poor sound, and other audio and visual quirks that have always been part of Cable TV. But once you’ve tried Direct TV, you’ll instantly notice the big improvement in picture quality and sound. Yes, gone are the days when satellite service was as poor as the CB radios and early sat phones. From time to time, we experience some problems with some or all of our Cable TV channels and get messages on our screens telling us that there is a signal problem. Such makes me wonder how a cable that’s directly connected with the provider can lose signal. With Direct TV, those incidents are things of the past. There is excellent signal almost all the time and the only problems that I have encountered are some “not as brilliant as the usual reception” and it happens only when there’s really bad weather.
