During my brief with a stock brokerage firm, a couple of statements remain in my head until this day.
The first was from our company president who said, “When I first went into this, I lost all my money”. The second came from a Vice president of another firm, “A trader, before he becomes good at this, has to lose his shirt first.”
Now, I don’t think that it is a good idea to go through that process. Not everyone can bounce back the way that company president did and of course, not many can survive the process described by that other stock market guy.
Therefore, it is but wise for any aspiring trader to go through a good stock trading course before he/she buys or sell stocks. A good curse should be able to give the prospect a good grasp of the stock trading system, thus enabling him to safely play the game also known as the bourse.
In my experience, a lot of stars are born during the days of boom. However, when the bear starts marching in, most of the once arrogant high flying brokers start to crumble. That is not the kind of broker that any stock market wants. A good course should be able to develop people who will perform come bull or bear season.
